Occupational Health Nurse (Qualified Nurse Practioner) – Based Skellingthorpe & Stapleton West Yorkshire (Near Pontefract) & Lincoln

A vacancy has arisen for a part time Occupational Health Nurse for 2 days per month.

Health Surveillance Services has been providing high quality comprehensive Occupational Health to a variety of clients across the UK for many years. With their newly opened office and facilities in Stockport and the majority of customers being based in the North West, HSS are very highly regarded by their clients for excellent service and support. HSS are currently expanding their operation with new clients being won on a regular basis.

The role
To provide effective health screening to a clear plan for each specific client.
To undertake general health screening and medicals which will include eye & hearing testing,
lung function and blood pressure checks with other tests as required for specific occupations
such as fork lift truck drivers, nightshift workers and food handling operatives.
To liaise with clients and the customers to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.
To manage screening results and take appropriate action if these are outside the parameters
expected.
To keep confidential screening records in accordance with the paperwork

The Candidate
You will have a strong people and customer focus and be able to communicate clearly with
individuals to assess their health.
You will be a qualified Nurse with willingness to learn new skills and adapt into an Occupational
Health role.
You will be able to complete all the paperwork and reports and keep appropriate records.
You will need to be a car owner and travel to client sites mainly based in the Pontefract and
Lincoln area once full training has been given.
Microsoft office skills are essential.
Enjoy working alone and as part of a team to contribute to the overall smooth running of the
business.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload and a desire to succeed
will make you the perfect candidate for the role.

Nursing experience is essential however full Occupational Health training will be provided to an enthusiastic person. There may be the possibility of additional hours as the business grows.
